length of its shadow be BC = $10 \sqrt{3} m .$

let the angle of elevation of the sun be θ.

then in the right angled triangle ACB,

$\tan θ = \frac{A C}{B C} \tan θ = \frac{10}{10 \sqrt{3}} = \frac{1}{\sqrt{3}} \Rightarrow θ = 30$

thus the angular elevation of Sun is 30 deg
