Find the area of a sector of a circle with radius 21 cm if angle of the sector is 60°.

As we know, the area of a sector having angle as 'theta' and radius as 'r' is given by--
        theta / 360 * pie r
here , theta = 60o , r = 21 cm.
therefore , 60/360 * pie ( 21)2
             i.e., 1/6 * pie * 441
             i.e., 1/6 * 22/7 * 441
             i.e., 1/6 * 22 * 63
            i.e., 1/6 * 1386
            i.e., 231 cm2
that is , the area of the sector is 231 cm2
hope it helps..!!!

We know that area of a sector = theta / 360o x pie r[ theta = angle formed by two radii at the centre of cicle]
Here theta = 60and r = 21 cm
hence the area of the sector = 60o/ 360o x 22/7 x 21 x 21 cm2
                                          = 1/6 x 22 x 3 x 21 cm2
                                         =  231 cm2

Please find this answer

  • -1
Area of the sector=theta /360*pie r^2
=theta/360*22/7*21*21
=60/360*22/7*21*21
=11*21
=231

we know that area of sector = theta/360 x pie r square
theta =60 and r= 21cm
now we substitute the value, we get
60/360 x 22/7 x  21 x 21
=1/6 x 22 x 3 x 21
=231cm square

We know that area of sector="theta"/360?pie?r?r. So as the radius is 21cm and the angle was 60 degree. So 60/360?22/7?21?21=11?21=231
