Find the greatest and the smallest real number among the following real number:
(ii)  - 3 2 ,   9 5 ,   - 4 ,   4 3 5 ,   3 2 3 .

Hello Maryam, lowest is - 3√2 and highest is 9/√5
Solution: For lowest we have two to get differentiated. They are - 4 and - 3√2
You know √2 = 1.414 so 3√2 will be 4.242
So - 4.2 < - 4
Hence lowest is -3√2
Now for highest a tie in between 4/3 * √5 and 9/√5 ie 9/5 * √5
Just compare 4/3 and 9/5 as they come to be 20/15 and 27/15
So 9/√5 becomes the largest one
