First of all mean is the (sum of the observations)(total no of observations).

here you want to know the mean of first five whole numbers.So the first five whole numbers are- 0,1,2,3,4 .That is the number of observations are in total 5 and the sum that is addition of all these are 0+1+2+3+4=10.

Therefore by the formula of mean which I've mentioned above the answer is 10/5=2

Mean= 0+1+2+3+4 divided by 5.

that is 10/5

It is equal to 2.

  • 2

first 5 whole no.s - 0 , 1 , 2 , 3 , 4

mean - sum of observations divided by no. of observations

            = 0 + 1+ 2 + 3 + 4

            = 10

            = 10 / 5

           = 2

THEREFORE , the mean of the first five whole no.s is 2
