From wider point of view middlemen are divided into two parts:

1) Wholesalers: They link producers and retailers. They deal in bulk of quantity, usually in single type of product.
2) Retailers: They are in direct contact with consumers. They deal in wide varieties of goods, they trade in small quantities. They link wholesalers to ultimate consumers.
