From the context of rhe story, why did the servants leave ? Do you justify their action?

All the servants of Dr Sadao left their job as they were not in favour of keeping the American in the house. Their action can be judged as both correct as well as incorrect. Their action was justified as a patriot but they were also wrong in leaving their master alone in the time of crisis. In my opinion, their action was more wrong than right as a person's duty should first be towards humanity and only then would they truly be able to protect the dignity of their country.
