From the expression we have [r inversely proportional to square root of temperature ] that increase in temperature will decrease the rate of diffusion. But how is it possible? Experts plz answer Give reason why this mathematical expression is contradicting practical application?

Dear Student,

Rate of diffusion increases with the temperature. This is because increasing the temperature increases the kinetic energy of molecules which in return increases the speed of molecule, hence, increasing the rate of diffusion.
Kindly mention the expression you are asking about so that we can help you accordingly.
