from where do plants obtain hydrogen ?

Plants take up water through roots from the soil. They absorb sunlight by using chlorophyll. This light energy of the sun is later converted into chemical energy. This chemical energy is used in the electrolysis of water to get hydrogen and oxygen. Hydrogen is used by the plants and oxygen is released into the atmosphere.
