Gupta inscription suggest that Samudragupta has a great millitary career.He had brought the whole tribes of kings under his suzerainty and his enemies were terrified by him.The Allahabad pillar inscription by hi minister Harishena credits him of extensive conquest.The Mathura stone inscription describes him as exterminator of all kings.Some of his victories which can be listed here are the numbers of kings of dakshinapath like  Mahendra of kosala , Hastivarman of Vengi etc, These victories glorifies his name as a major warrior of his time.
