Give Differences between Orientalists and Anglicists in Points.

Dear Student

The following are some differences between orientalists and anglicists.

1. Orientalists had respect for both Indian and western culture. Anglicists, however, did not have much respect for ancient Indian learning.

2. Orientalists thought that Indians should be educated in both ancient Indian learning and modern western scientific development. Anglicists believed that Indians should only be imparted western learning.

3. Orientalists believed that modern India could be built only on the foundations of ancient Indian learning. On the other hand, anglicists thought that modern India could only be founded on education in English.
