Dear Student,
A symmetric function is a one which has same value if we put α in place of β and β in place of α.
So, If we do the same for f(α,β) = α2β + αβ2 then we get f(β,α) = β2α + α2β. So, f(α,β) =f(β,α)
Hence it is symmetric.
