give reason:
(1)A piece of paper takes much longer to fall than a stone through the same distance,when bothare dropped simultaneously from roof.
(2)the mass is constant everywhere whereas the weight keeps changing.
(3)the value of g keeps changing as we move away from the earth whereas value of G remains constant all over the universe?

1) This is because a piece of paper has larger surface area and therefore experience more friction due to air than a stone which has less surface area.

2)
Because acceleration due to gravity varies from distance to distance.

Please post the remaining query in a separate thread.

1. D ppr hs air resistance.

2. Weight is nothing but d gravitational force acting on a body.
N = mg
W = mg Therefore, W is a force.
N since g is diff in diff places, W changes.

3. g is d attractive force with which d earth/ any othr planet pulls an ovject towards it.

1}a piece of paper takes much longer to fall than a stone because the paper experiences air resistence whereas the stone cuts the air and reaches the ground first but if the same experiment is done in vaccum the stone and the paper will touch the floor at the same time because there is no air resistence to slower the movemnt of paper...

2}this is so because mass is a measure of how much matter is present in an object. it has no relation to gravity and hence will not be affected by different positions throughout the universe ..whereas wheight is the force exerted by an object so it will change from one place to another

i hope this helps ...if yes then please give me thumbs up :)
