equation of a line passing through the point $(x_{1}, y_{1})$ is given as:

$y - y_{1} = m (x - x_{1})$

where m is the slope of the equation.

the equation of the line passing through the point (-3,4) is

$y - 4 = m (x + 3)$ ..............(1)

for different values of m we can have different equation.

for m =1

$y - 4 = x + 3 x - y = 7$

for m=1/2

$y - 4 = \frac{1}{2} (x + 3) 2 y - 8 = x + 3 x - 2 y + 11 = 0$

m can have infinite values so we can have infinitely many equations.
