Give two functions of stomata and Cardiac muscle

Dear student.

Function of stomata:
1. Exchange of gases 2. Transpiration

Function of cardiac muscle.
Conduction of action potential
Rhythmic beating of the heart without break.

Cardiac muscles are involuntary muscles which have faint striations. They are present in the heart muscles and help in the contraction and relaxation of the heart.
The stomata is a tiny opening or pore that is found in the bottom surface of the leaves and is used for gaseous exchange. i.e, They take in CO 2 and give out O 2.

THE SPECIFIC FUNCTION OF STOMATA IS :
exchange of gases particularly CO2 and O2 with atmosphere.
loss of water in the form of vapour.

THE SPECIFIC FUNCTION OF CARDIAC MUSCLES:
contract and relax rhythmically through out the life.

There are small openings on the lower surface of the leaves. These pores are called stomata. These openings are surrounded with guard cells.

Functions of stomata:

1. It helps in the transpiration of water, i.e., the loss of excess water from the plant.

2. Loss of water from the stomata creates an upward pull, i.e., suction pull which helps in absorption of water from the roots.

3. They help in exchange of gases.
