gold is found in free state but iron is not . Give reason

Gold is a noble metal i.e. doesn't react readily, whereas iron is quite reactive and and even reacts with oxygen in air (rust formation)

Hence, gold is found in free state but iron is not

Gold is the least reactive metal. It does not react with O, C ,CO3-etc. to form any compound and hence always found in free state.

Fe is a reactive metal . It react with the atmospheric oxygen to form oxide and thus it is mostly found in oxide form...

Gold and silver are less reactive metals so they are found in free state in nature but iron is reactive in comparison to gold and silver, thus it is nor found in free state.
