In developing countries, providing basic necessities to people becomes the priority and in some countries, due to extreme poverty, even this becomes a challenge for the government. Whereas in developed countries, the availability of resources, use of advanced technology, and adequate financial support with a properly framed administrative plan for waste management can result in a successful waste management process. In developing countries, the below reasons become a bottleneck in the effective waste management process:
1. Absence of administrative framework
2. Lack of resources
3. Inadequacy of financial support
4. Unavailability of advanced technology for waste collection, disposal, and recycling
5. A high rate of illiteracy and unhygienic environment
