hello sir
bhargavi here
i have a doubt that didn't get clarified in today's class.
What will happen if we keep on adding salt/sugar to water and all the inter-molecular space gets filled up?

thankyou

Dear student,
When you keep on adding salt or sugar to water then the intermolecular distances are occupied by the salt or sugar molecule and further solubility of salt or sugar is restricted. The solution becomes saturated and then no salt or sugar will dissolve in water.
