a) It is a very true statement. Lion is a carnivore and feeds on herbivores. The herbivores get their food from plants. Now plants are autotrophic organisms which manufacture their own food with the help of chlorophyll in the presence of sunlight through the process of photosynthesis. In the absence of chlorophyll, plants cannot make their food and therefore cannot survive. Since herbivores depend on plants, hence they will also die due to non-availability of food. Since tiger depends on herbivores, it will also die due to non-availability of food (herbivores). Hence, Lion owes it's existence to chlorophyll.
