in the following lines we get to know that earth is covered with water but we pollute water so much that we aren't getting good purified water to drink and use in other domestic works. some preventive measures are:

i) close water tap when not required while brushing.
ii) dont throw wastes in rivers and water body.
iii) strict adherence to water laws.
iv) treatment of drainage water.
v) Reduce the use of water as coolant by large industries and power plants
