Highlight the instances which include humour in them?

Dear Student,

Please find below the solution to the asked query:

The humour in the poem lies in how the king orders to bring those who are being blamed for the construction of a low arch that resulted in his losing the crown. When the chief of builders blames the workmen, the king looks more placid. This gives us an opportunity to laugh at the attitude of king who feels relaxed hoping that the matter has come an end without much trouble being taken. But when the blame comes upon him, he calls for the wisest man to be brought before him. The oldest man of the city, who could hardly walk and see, is considered to be wisest and he was brought before the king. The poet's rings when the old man utters a general statement saying that the one who is guilty should be punished. He in no ways confirms that the king is not guilty. The poet hits with his humour saying that any old man who can hardly walk or see is considered wise by the king. Again the humour is seen when the king fearing the agitation of the crowd decides to stop the matter of finding the one who is guilty. He finds out a funny way of finding the guilty person. He measures everyone who fits the noose and ultimately it is the kings who fits well. The foolish king who never cares about giving justice to his people ultimately has dug his own grave.
