Each chlorophyll pigment present inside the thylakoid of chloroplast absorbs the photons (solar energy) from sunlight. Inside thylakoids the absorbed photon is used to generate ATP and NADPH. the enzymes that take part in this generation process are present inside the stroma. Stroma is a substance that surrounds the thylakoids inside chloroplast.
