# How can we difference that which is initial velocity and final velocity

Dear Student,
Initial velocity is the velocity an object begins with.
Final velocity is the velocity at which the object ends up in.
Say a car is travelling at 13 m/s and then crashes into a wall stopping it it 's initial velocity was 13 m/s and it 's final velocity is at 0 m/s.
Say a car starts off at 5 m/s but then accelerates from 5 m/s to 10 m/s. It 's initial velocity would be 5 m/s but it 's resulting or final velocity is 10 m/s.
