How can you say that canterville chase was a haunted place

Any place, is usually considered to be haunted if there are ghosts living in it. The ghost of Lord Canterville was living in the Canterville chase. As a part of his "haunting" he performed many mischievous tricks on the people living there. The blood stain by the fire place that would return, the skeleton that was reading the diary of old Madame de Tremouillac and the green hand that was tapping at the window pane are just some of the tricks Lord Canterville played on the people staying at Canterville chase, in order to frighten them.
