How did the life of pastrol group sustain

Dear student,

1) Under the colonial rule, the life of pastoralists changed dramatically. Their grazing grounds shrank, their movements were regulated, and the revenue they had to pay increased

2) To cope with these change, pastoralists had to consider different ways to sustain life. Some reduced the number of cattle in their herds, while other discovered new pastures when movement to old grazing grounds became difficult

3) Some rich pastoralists began buying land and settled down thereby giving up their nomadic life. Some settled down as peasants cultivating land, while others took extensive trading.

4) In these ways, they were able to survive life even when pasture lands were closed to them.
