How did the peddler feel after robbing the crofter? what course did he adopt and how did he react?

Due to paucity of time, it would not be possible for us to answer all your queries. However, one of your questions has been answered by us. Please try to answer the rest on your own and revert to us for feedback. We will be happy to help you suitably.

The rattrap peddler, like all men, was a man trapped by his necessities. This drove him to commit thefts, because obviously  his earnings were not enough to sustain him. Not a thief by nature, he had to commit theft by the instinct to survive. So once while in shelter at the lonely crofter's house, the peddler robbed the man of his 30 kronors and left. On his escape he got lost midway through the forest but was ultimately rescued by the iron-master at Ramjo's Iron Works. At his new shelter he was treated with utmost kindness by the iron-master's daughter. This led to a change of heart for the peddler, who returned the crofter's money and transformed for the good.

Hope this helps. Best.
