how did the peddler get the idea of the whole world being a rattrap ?

The peddler was a petiously poor man who earned his living by selling rattraps that he made himself by the material he got by begging. His mind, therefore , was always occupied with the making and selling of rattraps . Hence one day , when he thought about the world, he found a parallel between the two. To him the riches , joys , shelter , food , clothing etc. worked as baits in trapping people . when one is trapped , everything comes to an end.
