how do we throw up with the GO sphincter to prevent the movement of food in the wrong direction?(i never get answers for my questions.plz answer this one.)

Dear Student,

The gastroesophageal sphincter is the valve at the top of the stomach that allows food to enter the stomach from the esophagus. When it is closed, the gastroesophageal sphincter maintains a higher pressure than that of the stomach so that food and digestive juices cannot wash back into the esophagus.

Hope this helps,

Cheers !!
