How does a RO or UV water purifier work ? Explain in detail .

Dear student,
Please find below the solution to the asked query

Reverse osmosis (RO) water is obtained by a process of physical separation which includes delivering a pretreated source of water through a semipermeable membrane at moderate pressures. The membrane does not allow most of the solute ions and molecules to pass through it, while water with low mineral content can pass easily through it. This process acts as a barrier for cysts, viruses etc.

UV (Ultraviolet) filtration works along with RO systems. UV destroys almost all the harmful microorganisms without the use of chemicals.

Hope this information will clear your doubts about the topic.

he most common type of purifier's are Reverse Osmosis (RO) and UV water purifiers. It is assumed that RO water purifiers are better than the UV purifiers.RO gives high level of purification while the UV purifier are combined with various forms of filtration as UV light can kill bacteria and viruses.
