how does the pressure exerted by a liquid vary with (a) direction ,(b) depth

Dear Student
a) Liquid exerts same pressure in all directions. The pressure exerted by liquid do not vary on the basis of direction as the weight of water column is same in all direction.
b) Pressure exerted by the liquid increases with depth. The pressure exerted just below the surface of liquid is less but as we go more in depth the pressure increases as the weight of liquid column pushing down from above  also increases.

Pressure exerted by liquid vary with depth only ,it is same in all direction,
Liquid pressure = weight density x depth.
So,more the depth more will be the pressure .
