How far is it justified to say that people's participation is one of the key factors of democracy?

Dear Student,

a. Democracy is the most popular form of government based on the collective will of the will , that allows for people's participation in the governance of the country.
b. In a democracy people elect representatives who in turn make laws for them. 
c. Democracy certainly produces a more accountable government, as here the leaders are elected. and the through regular, free and fair elections  electors can choose among the choice of candidates and parties available to them and can bring about smooth transition in the government. 
d. Democracy has guaranteed universal adult franchise and has ensured people's participation
e. Universal adult franchise has rather made the system more inclusive and representative
f. In fact, the idea of democracy has  a broader connotation, it is not merely restricted to casting of peoples' vote
g. People today participate in various other forms and are playing a pro active role
h. They are in fact keeping a watch on the representatives, making use of media to ventilate their grievances

keeping a watch on the government and its representatives.

i. Democracy has allowed them to voice their opinions freely, , to make demands on the system  and ,the fact that people are complaining shows the success of the system... One can give example of Right to Information which was the result of people's action to make government more transparent and responsive, Role of media in exposing corruption.

fundamentally, people value the Rule of Law because it takes some of the edge off the power that is necessarily...cited as the key to nation-building and to the establishment of new democracies. Indeed it is often argued...rules of law, but the Rule of Law is one of the ideals of our political morality and it refers to the ascendancy Thumz..up guys...
