how far was gandhijisuccessful with his non cooperation movement

The non-cooperation movement meant different for people of different groups,occupations and classes.Through this movement Gandhiji wanted to overthrow the British rule and wanted to establish democracy.Though the movement wasn't fully successful in achieving its aim,it inspired people irrespective of their caste,background or creed to raise their voices against the wrong done to them,and problems like high rents,revenue collection,begars and so on.Through this movement even the women had attained their fame by playing an important role in public life.Peole also adopted a serious attitude towards providing their country with liberty by boycotting institutions and foreign goods.
