how has plantation cropping affected biodiversity

The plantation of the crops which are done on the selection basis  which are termed now a days as beneficial species or their products which are yielded in large numbers than their populations can withstand for various economical and commercial purposes. This selection of few where other kinds are neglected  led to the  extinction of the species and thus reduces the biodiversity.
