how is oxygen transported in our body?/

Oxygen is transported in our body through blood. It enters our body via nasal cavity and then get diffused into the blood in lungs and from their it get transported to the heart which transport it to the whole body. When oxygen reach any tissue it enters the tissue via diffusion.

When oxygen is inhaled through our nasal cavity it reaches our lung .In the lungs the oxygen reaches the alveoli.These alveolus are surrounded with fine mesh of blood capillaries.The oxygen passes through the walls of the cappilaries and mixes with haemoglobin to form an unstable compound called oxyhaemoglobin.The blood carrying haemoglobin reaches the heart and is pumped to the rest ogf the body. When the blood reaches the different cells of the body the oxyhaemoglobin dissasscosiates to form oxygen and haemoglobin.The oxygen is taken in by the cells and haemoglobin is free to transport more oxygen.
