how is takli different from a charkha?

Takli is an iron stick which is used to spin short fibers, cotton, cashmere, and silk.etc. It is the simplest device for spinning and known as handspindle.

Takli is a hand spindle which has a stick like structure and Charkha is a spinning wheel which is popularised by mahatma Gandhi ji during the period when the British ruled.He encouraged to make homespun cotton in their homes.
