How many metals and non-metals are present in the periodic table? How many elements are there in the periodic table as per the NCERT syllabus ?

Hi,

Metals are on the left and center of the periodic table.H is a non metal as well as all of group 18,most of group 17 and 16 and some from groups 15 and 14.The metalloids are 7 elements that occupy a stair like trend in a large block on the right. All the rest are metals.
