How natives got their rights

In many parts of the world the natives raised their voices against the oppression either with violent or non violent means.To involve natives into the mainstream it was in  1954, when the Declaration of Indian Rights was prepared by the natives where they were willing to accept the citizenship only when they will be treated as equals in USA where as in Canada a Constitution Act was passed in 1982 to recognise the rights of the natives.
