1. The people are important in developing the economy and society.

2. The various thing in our surroundings become resources on when people make use of them.

3. Natural events like tsunami, earthquake atc. become a disaster only when humans are affected.

4. They are the point of reference from which all other elements derive significance in  SST.

 

5. And finally , they ae the producers and consumers of earths resources.

Coal gains it's meaning only when it is used by the people.

For example when we talk of resources, we may refer to its exploitation , optimum utilization, scarcity in the context of human beings who are using them. 4. Human beings are both the producers and consumers of resources. 5. Likewise, when we refer to any natural disaster it is talked of as a disaster in terms of destruction it causes to human beings. 6.
