as said in the text the roots of the plant hold the soil and when it rains heavily the plants and trees absorb most of the water and prevent sliding away of the soil.so terrace farming is also a nice method to prevent soil erosion.pls press like ananya

simple. Terrace farming are step-like features. These step-like are usually cut out of mountainous areas. Using these method, it prevents rain from washing away soil, hence preventing soil erosion.

Next, contour plowing. Contour farming/plowing is the practice of plowing a slope across in contours. These will prevent the rain water to slow down, therefore reducing soil erosion. :)
