how the factor waste must be treated before getting imto water bodies
Factory waste must be treated before getting into water bodies as it contains various toxic chemicals which can affect aquatic life.
Treatment of factory waste-
1.Brine treatment- This is done to remove dissolved salts from the waste.
2.Sedimentation-Most of the solid waste is removed by this method.
3.Activated sludge-This method makes use of micro-organism to remove organic waste using oxygen.
4.Neutralization-This method is mainly used for the removal of acid. Generally factory waste contain acid so a base is added to neutralise the effect of an acid.
