​how was m hamel class different the day franz went late to school?

The class was different as Mr.hamel didnt scold Franz on coming late as he usually do. Instead he welcomed him and politely asked to sit on his seat.all the students were sad and there was a depressing environment in class.So these were the changes Franz noticed I hope i helped Thank you
