How was the mongoose able to win finally ?

The cobra was tired and had weakened after a long fight with the mongoose. The mongoose jumped up and held the cobra by its snout. It clung on to the head till the snake stopped moving. Then, it carried the dead snake away into the bushes. The mongoose emerged the winner eventually.
