The following points may help you:

Hunger is an important aspect indicating food insecurity, it is an expression of poverty.

a. Poverty which is the inability to manage basic necessities of life is linked with food security. For people living below poverty line may be largely affected by hunger particularly the most vulnerable section and are thus suffer from food insecurity.

b. Poor people become targets of hunger also because of seasonal nature of work, most of them are poor agricultural laborers in rural areas and become victims of seasonal nature of agriculture, and in  urban areas the casual workers working in unorganized sector become vulnerable to hunger as they fail to get work throughout the year with no stability in their incomes. It is referred as seasonal hunger.

c. Hunger also has another dimension that is chronic hunger it is the, poor people suffer from chronic hunger because of their low income and as a result of their inability to buy food even for their survival.

d. People living below poverty line as they are food insecure are the worst victims who die of hunger and starvation.

e.Shortage of crops, loss of crops, due to calamities, price rice effects the poor who are the worst target. If this situation prevails for a long time it leads to starvation deaths and famine.

Food is considered as the basic of any human being. The people who are living below the poverty line, do not get enough food and experience the problem of hunger all the time. Thus this created food insecurity in them. They do not have the ability to buy food cause of their low income and no jobs.
