Dear Student!

 Here in this video, place value of different digits of a decimal number has been explained. In a decimal number, place value before the decimal point is unit, ten, hundred and so on, while, after the decimal point, place value is tenth, hundredth, thousandth and so on. For example, for a decimal number 635.738, place value is:

(6 × 100) + (3 × 10) + (5 × 1) + (7/10) + (3/100) + (8/1000) = 600 + 30 + 5 + 0.7 + 0.03 + 0.008 = 635.738
