with a decimal number the ans has to be how much significant figure
rule jn chemestry i really did not understand from the below
picture how come so then plz multiply 10?1 414m what is the ans

Dear student,
the multiplication rules state that the product should have as many
as significant digit as there there are in one of the multiplicants
with least significant digits

as written in your question let us multiply 10 and 1 414
10 x 1 414 = 14 14 now the multiplicant with the least number of
significant digits is 10 (i e 2 digits) hence we round off the
product to 2 significant digits which is 14
hence the answer is 14
