i had a plant in my house that changes its flower colours every time new flowers arise on it,though only one species of such plant is present.why it occurs?

Dear student,
The colour of some plants changes due to the alkalinity and acidic nature of the soil which results in absorption of some minerals indirectly affecting colour change in flower. For example:- Anthocyanin pigment provides colour in bigleaf hydrangeas so when anthocyanin is close together it appears blue but when they are separated they appear pink. Aluminium becomes more soluble in acidic soil, they get absorbed easily which allows anthocyanin molecules to move together and flower appears blue in colour and in alkaline soil aluminium do not get absorbed and therefore flower appear pink in colour due to separated anthocyanin molecule.
