Through this chapter the writer tells us about the importance of farmers. he believes that a person who is covered with soil shouldn't be neglected instead he should be taken as an inspiration because that person would be a hardworking one. A child covered with soil is called 'a diamond covered with soil'. People who live in the modern society hate soil and keep away from it but they don't know that soil is the reason why we all are alive. all things are generated from soil that is why sati touches it from her forehead, a soldier touches it to his eyes, and an ordinary person touches it with affection. Thus the writer calls soil the symbol of patriotic love of country and culture.
