Gas made from the anaerobic digestion of agricultural and animal waste is called biogas. Biogas is a clean fuel and has high calorific value. It is used for cooking, lighting of lamps, generating electricity, etc. Also the product left after degradation could be used as manure for fields.
Biohydrogen is H2 that is produced biologically. Interest is high in this technology because H2 is a clean fuel and can be readily produced from certain kinds of biomass. Bio-hydrogen is being valorised more and more, since it may have ambitious uses in fuel or in microbial electrolytic cells, as well as more ordinary applications.
