If esters are sweet smelling , then is polyester also sweet smelling??

Esters are sweet smelling but polymers are not. Esters smell sweet because they are usually in liquid state and their vapours in the form of aroma in air imparts fruity smell. Once these esters are polymerized, these do not impart smell as there are no vapours to impart any smell.
