If POQ is a line and x-2y = 30 , find x and y

So,  If we have our lone POQ , As :

Than we get

x  +  y  =  Value of line POQ  ( here we assume POQ  =  60  , you can change it by rechecking your question again )

So,

x  + y  =  60  ---------------- ( 1 )
And
given
x  - 2y  =  30   ------------------ ( 2 )

Now we mutiply by 2 in equation 1 and get

2x + 2 y  =  120  ---------------------- ( 3 )

Now we add equation 2 and 3 and get

3x  =  150

x  =  50  , substitute that value in equation 1 , we get

50  + y  = 60

y  =  10

So,

x  =  50
And
