If the vectors a = -4i +3k and b =14i +2j -5k have xame initial point then, the angle bisector d of magnitude root(6) is

a. i +j+2k

b. i -j +2k

c. i -j -2k

d. none of these

Please explain briefly

Vector along angle bisector - a/|a| +b/|b| So, the vector becomes~ -4i+3k/5 + 14i+2j-5k/15 On taking the LCM ~ 2(i+2k+j)/15 On finding the unit vector along angle bisector~ I+2k+j/root6 Vector of magnitude root6 = unit vector × root6 i.e ~ root6× i+2k+j/root6 (Now, root6 gets cancelled) Hence answer is-- I+2k+j
